Who doesn't love a good twist on a classic?
When a client came to us wanting to bring together traditional art and modern technology, paying homage to the history of computers; I immediately wanted to use computer chips as a canvas.

After some research I chose to create tiny portraits of people who were foundational to our technology today: Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage.
Tiny portraits on motherboards seemed perfect and what was even more exciting was figuring how to mount the magnifying glass to view them.

This was a satisfying project to see completed - one that stayed very close to the original concept and rendering.
